Raymond S. HOBACK - 29th Division.
Bedford Boys Fallen - Raymond Samuel HOBACK never had a chance to reach 100 years old today. Instead, he sacrified his life for our freedom... Raymond may have made it out of his landing craft, but he never made it to shore. Others recall seeing his body in the water. Bedford also failed to make in on the beach. He was killed by an exploding 88mm shell. Their time in the battle could be measured in minutes... [American D-Day facebook] Lire plus...

(continued) your Purple Heart in a cherished place. My father, John< spoke of your often and missed you terribly. Our thanks to you and all those like you that gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we could live in a free country. Honoré par Richard Francis [2017-01-10 15:46:34] |

Uncle Don - You are remembered by your extended family, who might not be where we are today with the sacrifices you and thousands of your comrades made to remove the stain of fascism from the world. I hang your picture proudly in my office along with the flag that was used in your burial. We have Honoré par Richard Francis [2017-01-10 15:43:16] |
