8TH AIR FORCE
I had the great honor of visiting the Normandy American Cemetery in June, 2023. I walked the grounds until I found a Texas soldier. It was that of Edward J Lahaye. It was truly a moving experience. I hoped to reach out to his family with a photo of his cross, but see it is already posted on this

N'oublions jamais que ces jeunes soldats ont changé, par leur dévotion, le cours de l'Histoire. Souvenons-nous de leur sacrifice, en chérissant la Liberté qu'ils ont gagné pour toutes les nouvelles générations.

PFC Joseph M. Bercholz was from Shamokin, PA and died on Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944. He immigrated to the US from Poland when his parents died in 1922 to live with his sister and died at the age of 33 we believe. He was a member of the 16th Infantry Regiment. We are very proud of his service bot
